Suspect quizzed by 'torture death' cops

DETECTIVES investigating the fatal attack on Thomas Campbell have made a new arrest.

The development comes, as separately, Greater Manchester Police said earlier this week they are to push for the extradition of the alleged mastermind of the assault, who is being held in South America.

Belfield was named in court as one of Mr Campbell’s killers, but was not in the dock during a trial and was believed to have fled the country.

Mr Campbell, 38, was robbed and ‘tortured to death’ in his own home after being ambushed by three men. Three people including his ex-wife Coleen Campbell, were jailed last month for their roles in the death.
