TIKTOK STAR MUM IS ENDING FAMILY'S LAS VEGAS ADVENTURE AFTER SPENDING FOUR YEARS IN USA

- By CHARLOTTE FISHER

IT'S KNOWN as the entertainment capital of the world. A dazzling melting pot of excess, money and neon lights, which welcomes around 40m visitors every year.

But it's got nothing on Bury.

Charlotte Rackett swapped Greater Manchester for Las Vegas four years ago after her husband landed a role in the world-famous Blue Man Group. Straight away, she and her family threw themselves into life in Nevada.

Eventually she amassed an audience of thousands as CharlieinVegas on TikTok - documenting the experiences of a British expat in the Mojave Desert. Then something changed.

And there's something lacking in the 24-hour adult playground of Sin City that's left her hankering for a pie on Bury Market.

The mum-of-one told the Manchester Evening News she is swapping the desert for the north west with just three weeks’ notice - after a turning point moment made her realise it was time for her to move back.

She said: “My mum passed away when we went to visit the UK earlier in the year and then when we came back that literally was the first time when I didn't want to go back. Every other time when we've come back, from a holiday or wherever, I've always been so excited to get home. I really love where we live and I'm usually excited to be back.

“But that was the very first time where we were getting on the plane and I didn’t want to go back. I just didn't want to leave, and I feel like that was the turning point.”

Charlie moved to Las Vegas with her husband Thom in 2022 - just 15 minutes from the iconic strip - after he was offered a role in the Blue Man Group.
