Shock as boy and girl injured in knife incident while teenager, 15, arrested

NEIGHBOURS heard 'screaming' and woke up to blood-splattered vehicles after another stabbing on the streets of Greater Manchester.

A boy and a girl, both aged 15, were taken to hospital following the incident in Walkden, Salford, late on Friday night.

Both suffered injuries consistent with knife wounds, Greater Manchester Police say. Officers arrested a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of wounding in connection with the incident, on Whittle Street.

Two neighbours on the street told the Manchester Evening News blood had splattered on their vehicles - a van and a were car which parked outside while drops of blood could still be seen on the pavement yesterday afternoon. One of the residents, who asked to remain anonymous, said: "I was in the bathroom and all I heard was the banging on someone's car.
