Queen’s Park will host Remembrance Sunday event

PEOPLE in Charnwood will remember its fallen heroes at an event this Remembrance Sunday.

Queen’s Park in Loughborough will again host the poignant Remembrance Sunday event on November 9.

Residents and visitors are warmly invited to congregate at the Carillon Tower, the town’s War Memorial, to honour the brave men and women who served and sacrificed in the line of duty.

The Remembrance Parade will begin at 10.20am from Market Place, proceeding through the town centre to Queen’s Park. The service will commence at 10.50am, led by local clergy and civic representatives.

The Last Post will be played and at 11am a two-minute silence will be observed.
