WHITE PAINT AND GRAFFITI DAUBED ON HOUSE TRIBUTE TO FORMER REDS STAR

- By COURTNEY EALES

A MURAL dedicated to Trent AlexanderArnold near Anfield was vandalised ahead of Liverpool's Champions League clash with Real Madrid last night.

The defacing of the painting came as the former Liverpool defender returned to the Reds' home last night for the first time since his departure in June.

The 27-year-old's two-decade-long stint with Liverpool came to an end as the rightback decided to leave Anfield after his contract ended in June.

Despite a negative reception in some of his final games as a Red, and another chorus of boos last night, Alexander-Arnold insists his love of Liverpool wouldn't be affected by the hostile response on his first Anfield return.

More ref justice...

AFTER the game, David Moyes came out moaning about the referee and he's done that quite a lot-but what Arne Slot did, and others like Alex Ferguson have also done in the past, is to preempt it all the week before.
