No Isak... are you Shaw about that, Al?
Liverpool Echo
|October 18, 2025
ALAN Shearer has included 10 Liverpool players in his combined lineup with Manchester United ahead of their Premier League showdown at Anfield - but has chosen to ignore Alexander Isak.
The bitter north west rivals clash on Sunday with Arne Slot's side aiming to address a run of three successive defeats that has seen the champions knocked off the top of the table by Arsenal.
United have endured a testing start to the campaign and were shocked in the League Cup by Grimsby Town, but beat promoted Sunderland 2-0 in their last outing before the international break.
And those differing fortunes have prompted Shearer to lean heavily towards Liverpool when picking a joint team between the clubs, with Luke Shaw - preferred to Milos Kerkez at left-back - the only United player to make the cut.
