IN the past couple of years, a small stretch of shops has turned an otherwise residential street in south Liverpool into a bit of a place to be.

A trendy cafe selling fresh bagels, an authentic Nepalese restaurant and a brightly painted deli have breathed new life into Dovedale Road.

But one local business stands out from the rest.

Dovedale Florist has been in business for nearly three decades, building an enviable reputation.

Owner Paula Reed has sold flowers to everyone from locals to international customers and even some famous faces - such as the late Sir Bruce Forsyth.
