Dean's Anfield indifference
Liverpool Echo
|November 04, 2025
REAL Madrid defender Dean Huijsen has dismissed the importance of training at Anfield as he explained why there was never any chance of him joining Liverpool this summer.
The Reds were among a number of clubs interested in signing Huijsen (right) from Bournemouth before the Spain international opted to move to the Bernabeu.
Huijsen, who lost home and away to Liverpool while with Bournemouth last season and was booked in both games, will come up against the Reds on Tuesday evening when Real Madrid visit in the Champions League opening stage.
