NEW HEIGHTS
Leicester Mercury
|April 12, 2025
JEREMY Monga's training levels have reached new heights following his senior Leicester City debut with the 15-year-old winger in line for more appearances this season, writes Jordan Blackwell.
-
Monga became the second-youngest player in Premier League history and City's own second-youngest appearance maker when he played the final 15 minutes in the 3-0 defeat to Newcastle.
Manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has confirmed Monga will be considered for selection for the remaining seven Premier League matches and suggested he was keen to get him involved, saying: “Within reason we have to use him as much as we can.”
There is a balance to strike with managing a player so young and ensuring they are not overwhelmed.
But van Nistelrooy believes Monga already possesses the physical and mental attributes he needs alongside his talent.
And Monga is pushing for more.
