RESTRAINING ORDER BANS HIM FROM VILLAGE FOR TWO YEARS

- By TOM MACK

A MAN has been banned from a village after he stalked his wife for months.

Shaun Palmer, formerly of Ibstock was “unrelenting” in his sending of messages to the woman over a four to five-month period last year following the end of their relationship, a court heard.

He had even attempted to get in touch with her through her mother before he was arrested in December.

Palmer pleaded not guilty to the charges he faced before changing his plea ahead of a trial that had been due to take place at Leicester Crown Court.

At a hearing before magistrates, it was said Palmer changed his plea because the Crown Prosecution Service had withdrawn a more serious charge.
