Bus strikes suspended with new pay offer on table

BUS strikes that threatened to disrupt Christmas travel across parts of the county over the festive period have been suspended.

Unite said it will ballot members on an improved pay offer from Arriva in the next few days.
Strikes scheduled for today, tomorrow, Saturday and Monday have been suspended.
However, if the offer is rejected, strikes on December 20 and 21 and January 5 and 6 will still take place.
