Charity Shop celebrates 25 years
Leek Post and Times
|June 11, 2025
A LEEK charity shop has celebrated its silver anniversary with balloons and cakes.
-
Dougie Mac opened in Derby Street on June 3, 25 years ago and has remained in the same building ever since.
Alison Owen has been the shop manager for six years. She said: "The reason this shop has been successful for the last 25 years is because we are so, so passionate about what we do.
"Our customers are very important to us, and we like to make sure we chat to every single one of them - for some people who may live on their own we may be the only conversation they have so we really are at the heart of the community for many people.
