6 ARRESTED AND DOZENS ORDERED TO DISPERSE OVER WEEKEND
-
SIX people were arrested and 74 others ordered to disperse over the weekend, as Kent Police continued their efforts to tackle antisocial behaviour across Thanet.
Dispersal orders were put in place last Friday (June 27), and remained in place until Tuesday, with extra police patrols across Broadstairs, Margate, and Ramsgate.
The temporary measures were brought in following reports of underage drinking, fighting, and aggressive behaviour towards staff at local shops and restaurants between June 19 and 21.
Alongside 24 stop-and-searches carried out over the weekend, officers dealt with a number of specific incidents, including:
Two teenage girls were dispersed after being seen swearing and shouting in Margate on Friday night. They were later spotted again, yelling on a bus.
