“I knew I wasn't feeling well but I couldn’t place what was wrong. It started last summer in May, during an unusually hot weather spell. Usually I'm a sun worshipper but I didn't feel good at all.
“I remember waking in the night with terrible muscle cramps and felt generally quite miserable for no apparent reason.
