CORONATION Street legend Philip Lowrie who appeared in the first episode in 1960 has died aged 88.
He played Elsie Tanner's wayward son Dennis who became the soap's original bad lad having been released from Borstal. He soon made his mark on the cobbles as a charming rebel.
