TRIBUTES have been paid to Scarlett Faulkner, who has tragically passed away in hospital after her life-support machines were turned off.

- BY NICOLA DONNELLY and CATHAL RYAN

The 29-year-old mum-of-one, from Limerick, had been on life support at Cork University Hospital for the past three weeks following catastrophic injuries sustained in an alleged roadside attack on the R494 near Birdhill, Co Tipperary, in March.

She suffered severe head injuries from the assault, which took place on a busy road on the evening of Saturday, March 21.

A woman and a 16-year-old girl have been charged in relation to the assault. Neither can be named.

The teenager is accused of causing serious harm to Scarlett.

The woman faces four charges, including violent disorder, reckless endangerment, and two counts of burglary during what the court previously heard was 24 hours of serious violent offences.

Heartfelt tributes have flooded in for Scarlett from her devastated family members across social media.
