THE Irish public is not just concerned about flooding, it's experiencing it and linking it to climate change.
People have also told researchers that they think the Government is failing to protect them.
The latest survey data from iReach Insights paints a stark picture of a nation deeply affected by water damage and sceptical of current preparation efforts.
It is time for leaders to stop treading water and start building the defences the public demands.
The results come after one of the wettest winter spells on record in much of the country.
A fresh bout of rain, floods, snow and wind warnings were still raging yesterday while many areas have not had time to dry out from the downpours of January.
