Farke delivers rally-cry as he warns troops: There is still plenty of work to do
-
DANIEL Farke has warned Leeds will pay a heavy price if they believe the hard yards of the promotion race have already been already been.
Farke’s side moved back to the top of the Championship when they beat Oxford on Friday night.
And they can move to within touching distance of the Premier League with victory over Stoke at Elland Road this afternoon.
They could be celebrating promotion if they see off the Potters and Sheffield United then stumble at Burnley in the later kick-off.
But boss Farke says the division has a habit of throwing up surprises and insists there is no room for complacency against a Stoke side who are seven points clear of the danger zone.
He said: “We are in a good position, but if you are too proud of yourself, enjoy yourself too much, you can’t win any points in this league.
