Winning Brit calls for video umpires in tennis after benefitting from a bad call
CAM NORRIE wants VAR introduced into tennis despite benefitting from a bad call in his latest win at the French Open.
The British No.1 riled his opponent Lucas Pouille and the home crowd when he claimed a big point in the third set after the ball had bounced twice on his side.
The Wimbledon semifinalist then immediately broke the Frenchman’s serve on his way to a ruthless 6-1 6-3 6-3 win.
And Norrie was jeered and booed again during his courtside interview with Marion Bartoli before explaining in his press conference: “When it happened, I didn’t realise it had bounced twice.
“I just watched it now just before coming here, and I think it looks like it did bounce twice. I think it’s up to the umpire to call that. The other day I had one against me, and it looks like today I had one for me.”

Bake up a storm this bank holiday
A long weekend calls for a little time spent in the kitchen, and what better excuse to get baking? This week, I've given four classic treats a twist - try a fragrant lemon drizzle with delicate camomile, rich date and walnut scones, and charming mini Victoria sponges that are perfect for sharing. And for something a little unexpected, fudgy brownies with a secret ingredient to keep them irresistibly soft – but will anyone guess what it is?
