New dad Jack, 21, dies after e-scooter incident

A YOUNG man who died from injuries he suffered in a road traffic incident involving an e-scooter only recently became a dad - with pals paying heartbreaking tributes to him.

Named locally as Jack Goss, the 21-year-old was from Balbutcher in Ballymun, Dublin 9.

Mr Goss, who recently started an apprenticeship with Dublin City Council, was found on the Cappagh Road in Finglas, Dublin 11 on Sunday at around 5pm.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken by ambulance to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown. On Sunday, his condition was described as critical and gardai confirmed he passed away yesterday.

Paying tribute on social media, a pal wrote: “Took way too early bro, on Father's Day as well. Life ain't fair.
