PATNA: Health Minister Mangal Pandey on Thursday said the health department would soon initiate the process for carrying out regular appointments on 37,733 posts at various levels, including 1,711 assistant professors.
"The advertisement for the assistant professors will come in a couple of days from the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), while 18,868 vacancies have already been advertised. For over 19,110 posts, requisition has been sent," he said in Vidhan Sabha.
He was giving the government reply on the ₹20,035.80 crore budgetary demand of the health department, which was passed by voice vote after the Opposition staged walkout alleging mismatch between the minister's statements and ground realities of health sector in the state and describing the announcements as guided by election.
