Mahendra Bhatt Sole Nominee for State BJP Chief

Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt is set to be appointed as the state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president again, with only him filing nomination for the post as the process to select the new state chief began on Monday.
DEHRADUN:
State election officer for BJP and MLA Khajan Dass said: "The nomination process for the election of state president and eight national council members was completed today (on Monday) at the party headquarters in Dehradun."
"The timings for nomination were fixed from 10 am to 12 pm. Only Mahendra Bhatt filed the nomination for the post. Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, former chief minister and MP Trivendra Singh Rawat, national media in-charge and Garhwal Lok Sabha MP Anil Baluni, Almora MP Ajay Bhatt, union minister of state Ajay Tamta were among those who proposed his name," he said.
