Govt Launches 'Garibi Mukt Gaon' Scheme to Eradicate Poverty

In a significant step towards poverty eradication, the Rajasthan government has announced the launch of the "Garibi Mukt Gaon" (Poverty-Free Villages) scheme.
JAIPUR: The initiative aims to alleviate poverty through a structured plan targeting 5,000 villages across the state, officials said on Tuesday.
The state government has introduced the "Poverty-Free Scheme" in the recent budget. A provision of ₹300 crore has been proposed for this purpose. In line with this, the "Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Poverty-Free Village Scheme" is being launched, they added.
