The 2016 romantic drama Sanam Teri Kasam has found a new lease of life following its re-release, setting a record for the biggest opening weekend for a Bollywood re-release, according to Sacnilk.

Riding high on this unexpected resurgence, the film's directors, Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, recently announced a sequel, much to the delight of fans. However, the film's producer, Deepak Mukut, has now weighed in, clarifying that the directors have no authority to make such an announcement.
