Danapur rly division turns 100 with myriad mileposts

The Danapur division of the East Central Railway (ECR) celebrated its 100th anniversary on Friday at Jagjeevan Stadium in Khagaul, located on the outskirts of Patna.
DANAPUR: The Danapur division of the East Central Railway (ECR) celebrated its 100th anniversary on Friday at Jagjeevan Stadium in Khagaul, located on the outskirts of Patna. A grand event was held to commemorate this century-long journey, which witnessed significant milestones in growth of Indian Railways.
The centenary celebration was marked by an exhibition showcasing the division's rich history through archival documents, photographs and railway artefacts. It also showcased a British period coal engine, old railway station building and a cultural programme.
