43 Chhattisgarh girls among 47 rescued from Rohtas, five arrested

In a major crackdown, the Bihar police and an NGO rescued 47 minor children, including 43 girls from Chhattisgarh, during a raid on an orchestra group at Natwar village in Rohtas district on Thursday, officials said.
SASARAM:
Five traffickers, including a woman accused of forcing the minor into the flesh trade, have been arrested. The rescued children have been sent to the District Child Welfare Committee (CWC) in Sasaram for age verification and medical examination, Rohtas superintendent of police (SP) Raushan Kumar said, adding that their interrogation is underway and they will be sent to jail after registering a case for child trafficking under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
