WOMAN, INFANT DAUGHTER KILLED IN CASE OF CASTE ATROCITY: POLICE

BIDAR: A 22-year-old woman and her one-year-old daughter were allegedly strangled by her husband and in-laws in a case of caste atrocity at Vijayapura district in Karnataka, police officers aware of the matter said on Friday, adding that no arrests have been made yet.
The victims Shakuntala Nanagouda Patil and her daughter, ‘Aaradhya, were found dead around 10.30pm on Wednesday night by the former's parents, who live nearby, in her house at Benakotagi village of Sindagi taluk. A case has been registered against the woman's husband and in-laws, they added.
Police found sarees tied around their necks and injury marks on their bodies, they said.
