RSS gets no foreign funding, runs on voluntary contributions: Yogi
Hindustan Times Mumbai
|November 24, 2025
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath said on Sunday that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) does not receive funding from any foreign country or entity and runs on voluntary contributions.
The CM was speaking at the ‘Divya Gita Prerna Utsav’ in Lucknow’s Janeshwar Mishra Park. He, along with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, was the chief guest at the event.
He said, “Diplomats and foreign envoys often ask how the Sangh operates. We tell them that we have worked as ‘swayamsevaks’ (volunteers)...No OPEC country or international church funds it. RSS stands on the strength of society and works with a spirit of service.”
