600 MW solar energy storage project coming up in Morena; driving India’s ‘Net Carbon Zero’ ambitions
-
Under the stewardship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Madhya Pradesh is moving faster to realise its renewable energy potential.
The launch of the innovative ‘Morena Solar-Plus-Storage’ 600 MW Project has set a new national benchmark in renewable energy. It will store energy and supply green power to the state during peak hours in the morning and evening. It is India’s first project to provide stable, dispatchable renewable power at a record-low tariff of Rs 2.70 per unit. The state is emerging as a role model in the field of renewable energy. Several unprecedented projects established in the state are supplying solar power not only locally but also to the Delhi Metro and Indian Railways.
