A fire broke out at two restaurants in Khan Market in the early hours of Saturday, Delhi Fire Services (DFS) officials said, adding that no injuries were reported in the incident.
NEW DELHI:
DFS director Atul Garg said that their control room received a call at 2:56 a.m. regarding a fire in a restaurant.
"Six fire tenders were pressed into service. When officials reached the spot, they found that fire had broken out in the temporary structure of the bar and dining area on the terrace of two adjacent restaurants - OTB and Sly Granny," he said.
"As the restaurants were closed at the time, no injuries were reported in the incident," Garg said.
According to the officials, at least one of the two restaurants was not in possession of a fire no objection certificate (NOC), and they are probing whether the second establishment had the document.
HT was unable to get a comment from the owner of either establishment at the time of going to press.
Despite repeated calls, OTB owner Udit Bagga could not be reached for a comment.
