JUDGE ASKED WHY FIR WAS LODGED AFTER 11.30PM WHEN INCIDENT WAS REPORTED IN THE MORNING
KOLKATA: Slamming the Kolkata Police and RG Kar hospital over the investigation into the rape and murder of a 31-year-old resident doctor on August 9 last year, trial court judge Anirban Das on Monday questioned why the FIR was registered after 11.30pm when the incident was reported in the morning.
The judge, in the observations recorded in his verdict, also questioned the motive of the hospital authorities for their attempts to "suppress" the rape and murder of the on-duty doctor, and held both the police and hospital authorities responsible for making the "helpless father of the victim (run) from pillar to post to get relief and to lodge the complaint".
