Punjab cabinet minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Sunday reaffirmed the state government's commitment to ensuring effective treatment and rehabilitation for drug victims and to reintegrate them into mainstream society.
LUDHIANA:
Addressing gatherings during the "Yudh Nashian Virudh" campaign in Jaspalon, Chak Sarai and Jatana villages in Khanna, the minister emphasised the government's focus on strengthening de-addiction facilities.
Minister Sond criticised previous governments for patronising drug traffickers and facilitating the trade using their own vehicles. In contrast, he highlighted that the Punjab government is taking stringent action to protect Punjab's youth from drugs.
