Palantir ‘manifesto’ promotes US power, Al weapons, drawing global outrage

US tech firm Palantir published a “manifesto” on social media that set out a vision of untrammelled US power, proclaimed the superiority of Westem civilisation and advocated for Silicon Valley to advance US hard power and solve sociopolitical problems.

The 22-point manifesto was an excerpt from Palantir CEO Alex Karp’s 2025 book “The Technological Republic: Hard Power, Soft Belief, and the Future of the West”.
Among other things, the document said “some cultures have produced vital advances; others remain dysfunctional and regressive”, “we must resist the shallow temptation ofa vacant and hollow pluralism”, and “Silicon Valley ‘owes a moral debt to the country that made its rise possible”.
The document also called for anend to the “postwar neutering”
of Germany and Japan.
