Barton II looking good for the up after big win against Chagford
Herald Express
|June 25, 2025
BARTON enhanced their promotion credentials in the D Division West with a crushing nine-wicket win over former leaders Chagford.
Although Barton are up third in the latest table, there is still work to do to close the 19-point gap between them and second-placed Chagford
There was no Richard Hopwood at the top of the Chagford order - he is averaging 195 from four trips to the middle this season - and he was missed as Barton skittled them out for 112.
Harry Senior (39), in at five for two after an early roughing-up by Barton’s Callum Crocker (3-29), was one of only two Chagford batters to reach double digits. He was caught on the boundary having a dart at Harry Shelton (2-22).
