Workshop on ‘World of Shakespeare’ held

In collaboration with Dubai National Theatre, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Library Library hosted a dynamic workshop titled “The World of Shakespeare: Literature and Performance.”

Presented by renowned artist Jehad Sa'ad, the two-day event drew a remarkable turnout and engaged an audience of literature and theatre enthusiasts.

This event is part of a series of unique programmes hosted by the library to nurture the cultural and creative arena in the UAE.

The first day focused on the theoretical aspect, where Sa’ad reviewed William Shakespeare’s career, as one of the key figures of world theater and the most influential in the history of literature.

The workshop addressed his main theatrical works, namely “Romeo and Juliet,” the tragedy that became an icon of love, and a deep conflict between emotion and destiny.
