Woman ordered to pay Dhs15,000 for assault

The Abu Dhabi Family, Civil and Administrative Cases Court has obligated a woman to pay a compensation of Dhs15,000 to another woman for assaulting her and causing injuries that left her unable to perform her work for over 20 days. Earlier, the plaintiff filed a lawsuit against the defendant in which she requested that she be obligated to pay her Dhs51,000 in compensation for the material and moral harms she suffered plus the legal interest and the incurred fees and charges.

The plaintiff pleaded that the defendant assaulted her and caused her injuries as a result of which she could not go to work for more than twenty days, adding that a criminal case was accordingly filed in Abu Dhabi and she was convicted and that the issued verdict became final because it was not appealed to.
