UAE's coastal areas to experience rain, says NCM
Gulf Today
|March 16, 2026
Rain is expected to fall on some coastal areas and islands on Tuesday and for three days as a result of the country being affected by a weak surface low-pressure system from the east and a weak surface high-pressure system from the west, accompanied by an extension of a weak high-pressure system in the upper layers of the atmosphere, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
The weather on Monday is expected to be clear to partly cloudy and cloudy at time at night with a further rise in temperature, the NCM said.
Light to moderate northeasterly to southwesterly winds will blow, turning to active and dust-stirring at times at 10 to 20 and up to 35 km/h, while the waves will be regular in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, it added.
