Shah vows to win next year's elections in Kerala

Federal Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday opened the sprawling headquarters of his Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Kerala and vowed to win next year's state elections.
He urged the party workers to get ready for the upcoming civic polls scheduled for later this year and sweep the maximum number of local governments.
The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance cornered 19.24 per cent of the votes in last year's national elections, a sharp increase from 12.41 per cent scored in the 2021 assembly polls.
Recent opinion polls have forecast that the Hindu nationalists will increase their vote share to 23 per cent.
Shah asked the BJP workers to set a target of 25 per cent of the ballot in the civic polls and capture power in Kerala after next year’s elections.
