The Abu Dhabi Family, Civil and Administrative Cases Court obligated a man to pay Dhs6,000 plus DhsIO,000 as compensation to another for fraud.

The victim had purchased entry tickets to the Formula I event via Instagram and paid the amount via bank transfer, only to discover later that the tickets were fake, and when he tried to get the money back, the perpetrator did not respond. Earlier, the victim filed a lawsuit against the defendant in which he requested the court to obligate the perpetrator to pay him Dhs6,000 plus nine per cent legal interest from the date of the claim and Dhs15,000 as compensation for the material and moral harm that had befallen him. He also requested the court to obligate the defendant to pay the incurred fees and expenses.

The plaintiff stated that he had purchased tickets to the Formula I event via Instagram for Dhs6,000, which he paid through a bank transfer, adding that he later discovered that those tickets were fake, and when he tried to get the money back, the perpetrator did not respond.
