Australia's largest six superannuation funds are making waves among the world's top 100 asset owners, the Thinking Ahead Institute's latest report shows, as they increasingly adopt a total portfolio approach (TPA).

The Asset Owner 100 report labelled the top super funds based on asset size as the "Super 6," noting that they are featuring more prominently alongside the more mature pension funds from around the globe.

AustralianSuper, Australian Retirement Trust, Aware Super, UniSuper, Hostplus and Cbus are collectively known as the “Super 6”.
