Experts warn against Bhushan regime change
Financial Express Pune
|August 04, 2025
AHEAD OF THE August 7 hearing in the Supreme Court concerning Bhushan Power & Steel (BPSL), several insolvency experts believe the most prudent course would be to allow the current management to continue operating the company.
JSW Steel, which acquired BPSL for ₹19,700 crore, has been managing it as a subsidiary since 2021. "The transaction happened over four years ago, and the company is doing well and making profits. BPSL's creditors are also satisfied with the current management. In the present situation, it is likely that JSW Steel's transaction will not be disturbed, and the company will continue to run as it has been," said a senior insolvency expert.

'GPU supply chain under stress, but not yet disrupted'
Neysa, a neocloud that builds purpose-built cloud infrastructure for AI workloads, raised $1.2 billion earlier this year in a Blackstone-led round with plans to scale up its GPU capacity to over 20,000 units across India. Karan Kirpalani, chief product officer, Neysa, tells Anees Hussain that the West Asia crisis and surging dynamic random access memory (DRAM) costs have already tightened delivery timelines and made OEM pricing volatile. However, the disruption has not yet reached a point where it is derailing the company’s build-out. Excerpts:
