31 Maoists killed in special op; historic breakthrough: Shah

THIRTY-ONE MAOISTS WERE killed in a massive operation around the Karregutta hills on the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border which went on for nearly three weeks before being called off, it has been learnt.
According to a senior officer in the ministry of home affairs (MHA), the operation was started on April 21 after multiple agencies received inputs that top Maoist leaders and commanders, including Hidma Madvi, were spotted in the Karregutta hills.
