We aren't yet sure about Tesla prices, but the iX1 LWB is an electric sustainable, electric attainable, at less than ₹50 lakh.
THE BIGGEST LAUNCH in the luxury car space at this year's Auto Expo was the BMW iX1 Long Wheelbase—big on range (531 km), big on brand, big on size (with the most spacious second row in its segment), but small on price (₹49 lakh).
But is it big on ownership as well? To find out, we drove the iX1 LWB around Delhi.
What is it?
It is BMW's sixth EV—others are the iX (₹1.39 crore), i4 (₹72.5 lakh), i7 (₹2.03 crore), i7 M70 (₹2.5 crore), and i5 (₹1.19 crore).
The iX1 LWB is quite long, at 4,616 mm, and has a wheelbase of 2,800 mm. It has a battery size of 66.4 kWh, is capable of fast charging (10-80% in 29 minutes, using the 130 kW DC charger), and overnight home charging takes about 6.5 hours from 0-100%.
