Exhibition will feature tender photos of rural life in county

An exhibition showcasing the work of one of Devon's best-loved photographers is to go on public display next month.
An English Eye will debut in May and celebrate the life and work of renowned photographer James Ravilious, who specialised in capturing scenes of farming and rural life.
The exhibition, on loan from the permanent collection of The Burton at Bideford, will be held at the Thelma Hulbert Gallery in Honiton, and feature key photographic works chosen from a large retrospective show originally mounted for Ravilious by the Royal Photographic Society.
