Phoebe and Holly secure national titles in Gosport
Essex Chronicle
|June 19, 2025
THE penultimate rounds of the National BMX series took place in Gosport last weekend and Braintree Bullets BMX Club held onto fifth out of 53 clubs in the national points standings.
There were 54 Bullets amongst the 978 entries from across the country and they had their biggest haul of finalists so far this season with 18 riders reaching the finals, claiming four class victories across the two days of racing.
In the Championship classes, Heath Thomas made his first finals of the year in the Junior Men class after some frantic heat races in the pack. Thomas rounded out the pack on day one with an eighth but improved his position on the second day of racing with a solid sixth place.
Ahead of Thomas in the class was Thomas Millar who has become a regular finalist, and he claimed a fine pair of fourths across the weekend.
