John Lydon puts his Public Image ahead of Sex Pistols reunion
Edinburgh Evening News
|April 10, 2025
As his Sex Pistols bandmates tour without him, John Lydon has vowed to "never" return to the band which kickstarted punk in the UK.
-
Late March saw Steve Jones, Glen Matlock, and Paul Cook replace Lydon-play their first gig at London's 100 Club in almost 50 years.
Singer Frank Carter-not even born during the band's first incarnation-also joined the three original Pistols to play for around 5,000 fans at the Royal Albert Hall in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust last month, but their legendary frontman was absent, having initially been "insulted" by the group performing without him, before now finding the situation "hilarious".
