Fewer but taller turbines are on the cards for a windfarm development in Upper Nithsdale.

Foresight Group is working on plans for six, 250 metre tall windmills at Glenmuckloch, a few miles north of Kirkconnel.
Planning permission already exists for eight turbines with a maximum height of 149.9 m.
