PLAUDITS FROM ADDICTION RECOVERY HOME USERS AS IT GETS GREEN LIGHT TO HELP SAVE MORE LIVES

- By NIGEL SLATER Local democracy reporter

THREE former drug addicts who were at “rock bottom” have told how a Derby addiction recovery home has saved their lives.

The men say Jericho House in Alvaston has rebuilt their lives - with two of them coming back from the brink of suicide.

Jericho House has been supporting people with drug addiction for over 20 years. Run by the Living Recovery Foundation, the charity offers nine beds at the London Road property so users can seek immediate help with the aim of rebuilding their lives away from drugs.

Last month, Derby City Council approved a planning application so the charity can offer those struggling more beds to help speed up the path to recovery.

Planning permission was approved for the charity to have up to 18 beds at the former Thornhill Lodge Guest House on Thornhill Road in Littleover.
