Risks rise for millions of our homes & firms
ONE in five properties is now in areas at risk of river, sea and flash flooding.
The Environment Agency has warned 6.3million homes and businesses in England are at risk - up from 5.5m in 2018.
Its analysis accounts for the impacts of climate change for the first time.
And the agency warns it will lead to an increase in properties at risk to 8m by 2050 or about one in four.
