8 FOUND DEAD IN AVALANCHE

THE bodies of eight skiers have been found after an avalanche in the mountains near Lake Tahoe in the US, as the search for one more continues.

The incident has been declared the deadliest US avalanche in nearly half a century.

Nevada County Sheriff Shannan Moon told families that the mission has moved from a rescue to a recovery, during a press conference.
